Our parish will again host a Christmas Luncheon for homeless from the Gift of Mary Center. The Gift of Mary Center is a ministry of Missionaries of Charity, a religious order founded by Saint Teresa of Calcutta. Luncheon for homeless from the Gift of Mary Center.
Help Needed for the party—Cooks and cash are
Needed to feed approx. 90 men and woman.
The menu includes:
Meat (beef brisket), Potato
Casserole (any recipe will do)
Green bean casserole
Please bring food items to Parish Life Center on
December 14th between 7:30am-8:30am
Cash collected will be used to purchase:
Soda, rolls, salad, dessert and gift bag items. Disposable baking pans may be picked up in the Parish Office (8:00am-4:00pm). Volunteers to set up and serve are also needed. Due to Covid, safety protocols will be in place: *masks for everyone including homeless * volunteers will do limited serving and less passing at tables. If you can help in any compacity please call the parish office
We would like to give each guest:
Large bath towel and hand towel, wash cloth,
a hat, gloves, socks, scarves (for both men and women) and travel-size toiletries: shampoo, lotion, facial wipes, hand sanitizers, toothbrush, toothpaste and soap.
You can purchase these items and drop them at
parish office or donate cash to purchase these gifts.
Our goal is 90 of each item. Deadline for these items: Fri. Dec. 10th.
Also, if you have leftover, Halloween candy, you may donate it for the goodie bags for each guest.
