Through your generosity, Our Lady of the Pillar is able to provide assistance to those in need through various means:
St. Patrick Sandwiches:
Our parish provides sandwiches, chips etc for the homeless served by St. Patrick’s Center. Please bring your individually wrapped sandwiches and snacks to the OLP parking lot on the Second Tuesday of each month.
Guardian Angel Settlement:
On the Third Weekend of each month cash and groceries are collected and delivered to the Guardian angel Settlement. Food and household staples for the poor may be placed in the truck in front of church. You may also make cash / check donations (payable to guardian Angel Settlement) and deposit these in the box provided in the front vestibule of the church.
St. Patrick Salads:
Parishioners may donate salads for the meal served to the poor by St. Patrick’s Center. Donations of greens, salad dressings and other salad ingredients may be dropped off before the 7:30 AM mass or bring them to the parish office before 9:00 AM. This collection is made on the Fourth Tuesday of each month.
Warm Meals Monday:
Warm meals are collected on the Last Monday of each month. These proceeds are delivered to St. Augustine Parish.
Bridge Bread Sunday:
The Bridge program allows the homeless and those in need to learn a valuable job skill. This is a handup and not a handout-out. Bread Sundays will USUALLY be the last Sunday of the month. Please check the bulletin for adaptations to the schedule because of holidays. We will have a bread sale at the end of each Mass on designated weekends.
There will be 14 different kinds of breads and rolls sold ranging in price from $2 to $6.
