26th Annual Soup Kitchen Christmas Celebration, items due Dec. 4th

Gift of Mary Center

For the last 25 years, our parish has hosted the Christmas luncheon for the homeless of Gift of Mary Center. The Gift of Mary Center is a ministry of the Missionaries of Charity, a religious order founded by Saint Teresa of Calcutta.

Due to Covid restrictions this year, we are not going to be able to host the luncheon in the Parish Life Center. For those of you that have participated in the event in the past, you know it is a day that is much anticipated and appreciated by our friends at the Gift of Mary Center. This year, in the spirit of the holidays and giving, we are still going to continue with the tradition of providing individual gift bags for those in need at the Gift of Mary community. We are going to collect the needed items over the next few weeks in the parish office. We will be assembling the bags in the Parish Life Center on Monday, December 7 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Gift Items Needed for Each Bag:

Towel Sets (bath towel, hand towel and washcloth)

Blankets

Hats

Gloves/Mittens

Socks

Travel-sized Toiletries

Toothbrush and Toothpaste

Hand Wipes / Facial wipes

Hand Sanitizer

Masks

Hot Chocolate

Leftover Halloween candy

You can purchase these items and drop them off at the parish office or donate cash for us to purchase additional items for the bags. Our goal is 90 of each item. Any additional cash beyond what is needed for the bags will be gifted to the Gift of Mary Center. Deadline for these items is Friday, December 4.

Thank you in advance for your generosity. If you have any questions or would like to help, please contact the parish office.
